Honren-ji (本蓮寺) is a Buddist temple located in the Katase district of Fujisawa, Kanagawa Prefecture.
It is said the temple was founded in 595 by Gigen (義玄). It was reconstructed in 1184 by Minamoto no Yoritomo (1147-1199).
In 1271, Nichiren (1222-1282) rested at the temple after escaping the Tatsunokuchi Persecution (龍ノ口法難).
Originally an Esoteric Buddhist temple, it was converted to a Nichiren Shu temple by Nisshu (日秀) during the Kagen era (1303–1306).

The temple is one of the Ryukoji Rinban Hachikaji (龍口寺輪番八ヶ寺), the eight temples located in Katase and Koshigoe districts that used to take turns looking after the temple of Ryukoji (龍口寺).
