Tsujido Beach (辻堂海岸), located between Enoshima and Chigasaki in Kanagawa Prefecture, is part of the broader Shonan coast along Sagami Bay, an area known for its surfing culture and scenic ocean views.
The area was originally a vast stretch of sand dunes covered with pine forests. In 1728, the Edo shogunate designated this area as the Soshu Shooting Field (相州炮術調練場), an artillery training ground. During the Meiji (1868–1912) and Taisho (1912–1926) periods, it served as a proving ground for the Imperial Japanese Navy. One of the iron plates once used as a target and gun platform from this period is now displayed at Hachimori Inari Shrine, southeast of Tsujido Station. Following World War II, the site was used as a training ground by the US military stationed in Japan.

In 1959, Tsujido Beach was returned from US military control and reopened to the public. Since then, it has once again become a popular coastal destination. On clear winter days, Mount Fuji can be seen across Sagami Bay.
